30 May 2016 – The QualiMed Health Network opens its newest facility, the QualiMed Hospital – San Jose Del Monte, which is a 105-bed level 2 general hospital, strategically located at the heart of Altaraza Town Center in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. The establishment of QualiMed Hospital – San Jose Del Monte will further complete and enhance the quality of life in the Ayala Land development and the communities within and near Bulacan.

“QualiMed Hospital – San Jose Del Monte in Altaraza has the quality service, ambience, and medical capabilities of a premier city hospital, but at a more affordable price point. The presence of QualiMed Hospital supports the comprehensive and sustainable lifestyle offerings in the Altaraza estate and will greatly benefit the surrounding community as well,” said Alfonso Javier Reyes, Head of ALI Capital Corp.

Dr. Jose Tecson III, President of QualiMed Hospital – San Jose Del Monte, added, “Our operational strategy for this new hospital is to make the delivery of our healthcare services more rooted locally. We have within our team some of the best local doctors and medical professionals from the province. Besides the promise of providing quality, affordable, and homelike compassionate care, we are also committed to providing steady career opportunities for the people of Bulacan.”

Coinciding with the opening of QualiMed Hospital – San Jose Del Monte is the launch of QualiMed Physician Associates, Inc. (QPA), the doctor-engagement arm of QualiMed. QPA, with its strict screening and credentialing processes, takes pride in enlisting only the best and most qualified doctors to serve in QualiMed facilities.

Dr. Edwin Mercado, President and CEO of QualiMed and QPA, said, “We established QPA with the objective of having properly aligned and committed doctors in our facilities. From the city center to the provinces, we want our services to be consistent in terms of affordability, accessibility, and appropriateness, thus making them more patient-friendly. We will realize this by making sure that all components of our services follow internationally accepted and recognized standards – from our medical equipment and processes, to our ancillary teams, back offices, and even our doctors. Also, we will continuously provide local and offshore training activities to keep our doctors up-to-date in terms of medical knowledge and capabilities.”

Altaraza, the 100-hectare mixed-use development of Ayala Land, the first masterplanned estate in San Jose del Monte, welcomes QualiMed Hospital – San Jose Del Monte as it continues to move forward with its Phase 1 development. This includes the completion of estate road works and utilities, turnover of commercial lots, Phase 1 residential units, and groundbreaking of its BPO building early next year.

“We are in the middle of Phase 1 which will be undertaken in the next two years. We have launched 564 units under our residential brands Avida and Amaia. Most of the buyers are primary users coming from Bulacan, Quezon City, and Caloocan. We are also set to develop a 9,600-sqm GLA office building which can generate about 3,500 jobs upon completion. Along with these development plans, we believe the opening of QualiMed Hospital – San Jose Del Monte will further boost the continued growth of our community,” said Charlotte Cailao, Altaraza Project Development Manager.

QualiMed Hospital – San Jose Del Monte has comprehensive capabilities for inpatient and outpatient healthcare. Inpatient services include admission in wards or private rooms, and intensive care facilities for adult and pediatric/neonatal patients. The operating room and pharmacy are available for both outpatient and inpatient services. Inpatient and outpatient healthcare includes a full complement of equipment and services for operating room (with minimally invasive capabilities), tertiary laboratory (with a blood bank), radiology, cardiovascular, pulmonary, and neuro diagnostic, among others.

With “Alagang Abot-Kaya” or “quality care within reach” as its brand promise, QualiMed healthcare facilities cater to the needs of all markets, yet its focus on affordability makes services accessible to the broad C socioeconomic class.
