Barça Academy Manila Kicks Off at Arca South Estate
Taguig City, Philippines — In a move set to revolutionize youth football in the Philippines, Ayala Land, Inc. and Camp Nou PH Inc have announced the signing of an agreement to bring Barça Academy Manila to Arca South’s FIFA-Certified Pitch. This partnership marks a significant milestone in the development of Arca South as a dynamic and holistic community.
The signing ceremony, held at the Arca South Pitch in Arca South Estate, solidifies the commitment to bring world-class football education to the heart of Taguig. To formalize this partnership, Joseph Vincent B. Santos, President of Camp Nou PH Inc., representing Barça Academy, joined executives from Ayala Land led by Christopher B. Maglanoc, Senior Vice-President and Estates Group Head together with May Platero-Rodriguez, Senior Estate Development Head.
Santos expressed his enthusiasm, “Bringing Barça Academy to the Philippines represents our commitment to youth development and sporting excellence. With this access to top-tier football education we believe we can help inspire and cultivate the next generation of football talents.”
Maglanoc echoed this sentiment, “This is a welcome partnership for Arca South Estate, transforming it into a vibrant hub for community and sports engagement.”
Constructed by E-Sports International, The Arca South Pitch features Limonta Sport’s world-class artificial surfaces, which are known for their strength, performance, and ability to support heavy usage under any conditions. Now open to all clubs and organizations, this pitch promotes training and gameplay while meeting the highest standards of safety and quality. By 2025, players and spectators alike will enjoy additional amenities, including covered bleachers, locker rooms, common toilets, and an administrative office.
The FIFA-Certified Pitch will serve as the home for Barca Academy’s regular football classes. The Academy is aimed at children aged 6 to 18 years which follows and replicates the game model established in the coaching teams at FC Barcelona. These sessions will offer young enthusiasts the opportunity to train under the guidance of Barça coaches, following the same methodologies that have produced some of the world’s greatest football talents.
This facility is set to strengthen Arca South Estate’s position as a premier destination. While Residential and Office Buildings, Landers Superstore, and the Healthway Cancer Care Hospital – the first comprehensive Cancer Care hospital in the country, are already completed, the estate will continue to progress in 2025 with the addition of Ayala Malls Arca South and the Arca South Transport Terminal.
In Arca South Estate, all the needs of contemporary lifestyles and businesses are coordinated, synchronized, and integrated. The estate seamlessly harmonizes parks and open spaces, transport systems, retail, leisure, residential, and commercial environments, ensuring the needs of the community are fulfilled.
