Ayala Land is Most Outstanding Developer at DHSUD Awards
Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI) was named the Most Outstanding Developer at the recently held Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Region 4A Gawad Parangal awards. ALI also received the ‘Gawad Husay sa Pagpapaunlad ng Real Estate’ award for its contributions to development particularly in the Calabarzon region.
DHSUD cited ALI as Most Outstanding Developer for “its remarkable accomplishments in developing well-planned, climate-resilient and sustainable communities in Calabarzon” in all categories including socialized, economic, medium-cost, and open-market housing.
The Gawad Real Estate award was also given to ALI for its efforts to “develop well-planned, climate-resilient, vibrant and sustainable communities and human settlements.” Ayala Land was also recognized for providing full support to DHSUD Region 4A’s housing initiatives.
Headed by Secretary Eduardo D. del Rosario, the DHSUD is the central housing authority in the Philippines. It is the main planning and policy-making, regulatory, program coordination, and performance monitoring agency for all housing, human settlement and urban development concerns, primarily focusing on the access to and the affordability of basic human needs.
Ayala Land has been a long-time collaborator of the DHSUD to develop key shelters and housing across the country. In the past year, Ayala Land’s recent joint projects with DHSUD include the BALAI Farmers Housing program, which creates affordable and eco-friendly housing with income-generating facilities for farmer-beneficiaries. The group also contributed to the BALAI Munti housing project in Muntinlupa City.
Along with housing projects, Ayala Land has also assisted the DHSUD with crisis-stricken infrastructure repairs. In 2020, the group entered an agreement with the DHSUD to support the rebuilding of three mosques that were damaged during the 2017 Marawi siege, among other joint efforts.
Ayala Land is the Philippines’ leading developer of sustainable estates, offering a diverse mix of properties such as residential, retail, office, hotels, and leisure developments, that support local economic growth and nation-building. ALI has a total land bank of more than twelve thousand hectares across the country with 30 sustainable estates nationwide.
The company also actively implements its Alagang AyalaLand community engagement program, which focuses on generating livelihood and jobs through social enterprises, providing disaster relief to surrounding communities, and promoting a sustainable environment.
