Ayala Land one of World’s Most Sustainable Companies
Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI) has been listed in The Sustainability Yearbook 2017, the world’s most comprehensive publication on corporate sustainability, as one of the most sustainable companies across the globe. It is the only Philippine company that was included in this year’s edition of the prestigious publication.
The Sustainability Yearbook was established in 2004 and has since been released annually by RobecoSAM, a distinguished specialist in sustainability investing. Each year, RobecoSAM conducts its Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) by surveying over 3,400 listed companies worldwide that are eligible for inclusion in one of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI). The companies are asked about the economic, environmental, and social factors that contributed to their success, which are not covered by conventional financial analyses. The Sustainability Yearbook helps investors identify companies that are strongly positioned to create long-term shareholder value.
ALI’s inclusion in The Sustainability Yearbook reflects its commitment to policies, practices, and strategies that advocate sustainability. As a leading developer of sustainable estates that promote site resilience, eco-efficiency, and pedestrian-transit connectivity, as well as support local economic growth and nation-building, ALI strives for transparency with its business operations. The company likewise ensures that its sustainability and governance strategies are aligned with globally recognized standards and best practices.
