Ayala Land creates conducive environments for learners

Live, Work, Play – and now study in – mixed-use estates that build holistic communities.

Schools are where children build their characters and are nurtured outside of their homes. When it comes to choosing a school, families not only consider the education they can offer, but also the peace of mind that comes with safety and accessibility.

This year, two institutions have partnered up with Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI) to build their campuses in Parklinks and Alviera estates. These mixed-use communities are complemented with the addition of schools, that can cater from residents who no longer have to worry about leaving the estate as well as time and traffic, to parents that want to make sure that their children are in a secure location.

In October this year, a ceremonial signing between ALI, Eton Properties Philippines Inc., and Multiple Intelligence International School (MIIS) was held as the latter will be locating at Metro Manila’s greenest estate, Parklinks. Up north, premier academic institution Miriam College (MC) has announced the opening of its newest campus for the school year 2023-2024 during a press launch at the Alviera Country Club in Porac, Pampanga last November.

“Having a school is a trademark of all Ayala Land Estates. We always reserve space for a learning institution as we recognize the value of making education easily accessible to the young members of our community,” said Mel Ignacio, Senior Estate Development Head of ALI, during the ceremonial signing with Eton Properties and MIIS.

Meanwhile, Miriam College complements the vision of an all-inclusive community for Alviera, a joint project of ALI and Leonio Land. Miriam College Alviera (MCA) will open its first academic year to college students in a co-educational learning system with programs in creative design, environmental planning, entrepreneurship, global affairs and education.

MC president Ambassador Laura Quiambao-del Rosario looked back at the impact of the pandemic while looking forward to the future. “To us, the pandemic is not a disruption, it is just an inconvenience. It is also a good disruption because we can plan our school buildings better. We committed ourselves to start in 2023 and continue our partnership with Ayala Land. The COVID-19 might have given us not only another way of looking at buildings but also having new ways of learning,” she said.

At face value, having quality education within reach eases stress and saves time for parents. At a deeper level, schools in estates with modern structures and lush parks also offer learners the opportunity to engage with others while outdoors and enjoying nature within master planned communities.

“As a school, we have always embraced the Old African Proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child.” Parklinks will be the ideal environment to raise the next generation of leaders to be future-ready. We are proud to share in the vision of ALI Eton Parklinks Estate to put prime importance on the total wellness of individuals by providing 50% open space in the development,” MIIS Founding Directress Joy Abaquin shared.

Ayala Land ensures that their estates have designated green spaces while also serving as economic centers. Aside from contributing to the cities and provinces where their developments are located, ALI aims to contribute in shaping the minds of generations to come as well.

ALI’s Sr. Estates Development Head Jennylle Tupaz, President of MCA and Ambassador Laura del Rosario, Assistant to the President for MCA Dr. Trixie Sison pose at the press launch in Alviera Country Club.

AyalaLand Estates’ Senior Vice President and Group Head Robert Lao, Multiple Intelligence International School’s Founding Directress Joy Abaquin, and Eton Properties Philippines Inc.’s Executive Director Kyle Tan seal the partnership in a ceremonial signing event.
