APMC-managed BHS COMPLEX recognized at the 2021 ASEAN Energy Awards
BGC’s prime retail strip, Bonifacio High Street (BHS) Complex, was recently recognized by the ASEAN Center for Energy (ACE) for placing 2nd runner-up in the Energy Efficient Tropical Building Category of the 2021 ASEAN Energy Awards (AEA). The awarding ceremony was held virtually last week in Brunei Darussalam in conjunction with the 39th ASEAN Ministers of Energy Meeting (AMEM) and ASEAN Energy Business Forum.
The annual ASEAN Energy Awards is Southeast Asia’s highest reward to encourage and bring about recognition for excellence in the field of energy efficiency and conservation (EE&C). The awards aim to enhance awareness and encouragement to private sector participation in EE&C, specifically in buildings and industry.
“The ASEAN Energy Awards that our properties receive demonstrates APMC’s mastery in the complexities of energy management. Also with our recent ISO 50001 certification, we will continue to strive now more than ever to keep our managed properties within the bounds of energy efficiency.” - APMC President and CEO Laurent Lamasuta.
The BHS Complex consists three properties managed by APMC – BHS East, BHS Central, and BHS Central Square – all of which showcased their respective operational energy conservation practices, energy-efficient building designs, and robust implementation of energy management. BHS most notably featured its open-air promenade, al-fresco dining areas, and efficient use of natural lighting and ventilation.
“APMC has always been a partner to us in keeping Bonifacio High Street the crown jewel of BGC. The implementation of energy management practices provided positive operational and financial impacts. We are pleased in working continuously with APMC in making BGC the metro’s main sustainable growth hub.” said by Jay S. Teodoro, Chief Operating Officer of FBDC.
To date, there are now more than 10 ASEAN Awards won by APMC managed properties.
