Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI) and subsidiary Avida Land won an Award of Excellence and Awards of Merit, respectively at the recent Philippine Quill Awards of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).  ALI was feted for its corporate video entitled ‘Every Day Ayala Land’, while Avida Land received the award for its ‘Tunog Natin: Second edition’ program, which promoted Original Pilipino Music (OPM), as well as its Grand Neighbor Day, which spurred Avida residents into action towards fostering good relationships with people who live in the same area as them.

The ‘Every Day Ayala Land’ video, a winner in the Audio and Video Communications Skills category, used a story-telling approach to not only promote the company’s developments and business services, but also highlight ALI’s significant role as a partner in nation-building, and as a conduit for enriching Filipinos’ lives.

Avida Land’s ‘Tunog Natin’ campaign, on the other hand, was launched in support of the company’s 25th anniversary celebration.  Avida has been a consistent supporter of projects that promote Filipino culture, and saw ‘Tunog Natin’ as an opportunity to further showcase Filipino creativity and promote OPM to younger generations. Meanwhile, Avida’s ‘Grand Neighbor Day’ instilled within residents and communities from across the nation a deep sense of solidarity with their neighbors, founded on neighborly values.

The Philippine Quill is considered the country’s most prestigious awards program in the field of business communication.  Organized annually by the IABC, the awards have been recognizing organizations’ and corporations’ excellent use of communications to achieve their business goals for over a decade now.

The Quill Award’s experienced evaluators and judges make use of IABC’s Global Seven-Point Scale of Excellence to professionally rate entries based on how they were conceived and executed, and how they met the set objectives.
