Known to bring together families, office workers and students with its host of shopping, dining and entertainment choices, Ayala Malls’ Easy Ride project, provides shoppers convenient access to various modes of public transportation from any Ayala Mall. There are the public terminals that house intra- and intercity PUV. Taxi bays can be easily located near mall entrances, while some also provide stops for tricycles and e-jeepneys. Glorietta and TriNoma are also directly linked to the MRT Line 3 that runs along the north and south lanes of EDSA, while Bonifacio Global City allows for easy transfer between BGC and Makati through the BGC bus. With a range of transportation options available, shoppers can effortlessly connect from one Ayala Mall to the other, to their offices or even to their places of residence. Ayala Malls has also partnered with the respected institutions of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) to further enjoin and encourage the public to shift to the usage of public transportation.
PREMIUM PASSENGER EXPERIENCE WITH P2P, UBE EXPRESS AND ATENEO P2P+
Premium Point-to-Point Bus
What initially started as holiday project by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) with Froehlich Tours in 2015, the Premium Point-to-Point (P2P) bus service has since gained popularity with the riding public, resulting in more P2P bus routes and stations being added to the roster. Departing on a fixed schedule and traveling direct routes from terminal to drop-off point, the P2P buses allow for shorter travel times and create more pleasant commuting experience for its users. The P2P bus service currently plies four (4) routes: North EDSA to Makati, Alabang to Makati, Ortigas to Makati and Fairview to Makati. As of this writing, South Park has been added to list of destination points, traversing the same route of Alabang to Makati. Some routes are available seven (7) days a week, and buses can conveniently be accessed from several Ayala Malls, namely Glorietta, Greenbelt, Alabang Town Center and TriNoma. Further easing the commuting experience is the acceptance of BEEP cards on board some of the P2P buses, thus eliminating the need to bring and count change. P2P stops shall soon be equipped with BEEP waiting sheds, providing ample shelter from heat and rain. The public can continue to look forward to a more comfortable commuting experience with more routes to be expected soon.
With the limited number public transportation options offered to passengers transiting through the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the DOTr, in partnership, with Air21 has launched a premium airport shuttle service. The UBE Express, as it is popularly called, serves three (3) areas, namely, the Makati CBD, Roxas Boulevard and Entertainment City.
In Makati, stops include select hotels in Ayala Center, such as The Ascott Makati, The Peninsula Manila, Makati Shangri-la, New World Makati Hotel and Holiday Inn and Suites Makati. With a maximum seating capacity of twenty-four (24), each bus is equipped with a GPS system, radio communications and CCTV cameras, speed limiters and sensors which prevent it from moving if the doors are open. It also has low entry doors and ramps which make the bus accessible to wheelchairs. The fleet of brand new Mercedes Benz MCV 120 units feature state of the art technology including a Euro 5 and BlueTec Engine designed to lower emissions. Passengers travel in comfort and style with its ergonomically designed seats and free WIFI on board. UBE Express fares are currently at an introductory rate of P150 with daily operating times of 8am, 12nn, 4pm and 8pm from Mondays to Sundays.
With the goal of contributing to the decongestion along Katipunan Avenue, the Ateneo De Manila has initiated its very own shuttle service called the “Ateneo P2P+,” aimed at providing students, faculty and staff with a safe and convenient connection to the campus. By partnering with Ayala Malls, the P2P+ service is able to transport riders from the northern and western parts of Quezon City, and even as far south as Bonifacio Global City. The Ateneo P2P+ shuttles stop at UP Town Center, UP Technohub, Trinoma, Fairview Terraces and Market! Market!
Breaking common notions about taking public transportation, Ayala Malls’ Easy Ride provides the public to easily access various means of public transport allowing them maximum flexibility in their regular commute and enjoy an upgraded riding experience without the inconveniences of missed trips, pollution and overcrowding. With the addition of P2P, UBE Express and Ateneo P2P+, it is envisioned that less private vehicles will ply Metro Manila roads and will effectively lead to less traffic congestion and better quality of life for its citizens.

The Future of Ayala Malls Easy Ride
Plans for additional P2P stops in Ayala Malls are also currently being explored. In the future, the public can also expect more terminal hubs at upcoming Ayala Developments, such as Tutuban Center in Manila, Ayala Malls Feliz in Pasig, Arca South in Taguig, and Ayala Malls Bay Area in Paranaque, to name a few.
With the Ayala Malls offering places for dining, entertainment and relaxation or even temporary shelter from varying weather conditions, waiting for the next scheduled trip has turned out to be less cumbersome. More than the convenient and pleasant commuting experience it offers, Ayala Malls’ Easy Ride also runs parallel with Ayala Land’s vision in upholding the sustainable principles of eco-efficiency and pedestrian and transport connectivity in its communities. With Ayala Malls’ extensive access to public transportation, wide network of covered walkways and abundance of open spaces, environmental and health benefits from less vehicular traffic and lower carbon footprint can be achieved.
