Ayala Land launched its 2012 sustainability campaign in the January 22 issue of Philippine Daily Inquirer and The Philippine Star. This year’s sustainability campaign, “Appreciating Earth”, highlights and demonstrates how sustainability has been our practice from the onset in all of our projects, developments and operations.
We value sustainability and it has already become part of the company’s philosophy. Here at Ayala Land, sustainability means building communities that not only meet the diverse needs of existing customers but also thrive for future generations by offering environmentally sensitive products and designs. We are committed to uplifting the lives of people in these communities through our sustainable practices and developments.
As part of our thrust in nation-building, we are moving forward in our efforts to make sustainability a purposeful and consistent part of everything it does – from the choices it makes in terms of land acquisitions, to the masterplanning of our communities and townships, to the design of our products that incorporate green elements to make them energy efficient, environmentally sound and truly sustainable.
It becomes more and more important for us to get the market to appreciate two things: the value and benefits of sustainable development and the importance of “going green”.
In Ayala Land, being sustainable is beyond going green – we take into consideration other sustainability principles such as community stewardship and social development, such as engaging the community and support for local arts and culture, as well as personnel development, health and safety, and accountability. This market shaping project aims to capture all of these aspects.
