Vertex One formal inauguration

Vertex One, a joint development between Ayala Land Inc. and Manila Jockey Club Inc., was formally inaugurated last May 29. In attendance were representatives of the Manila local government led by Mayor Alfredo Lim, executives from Manila Jockey Club Inc., Ayala Land Inc., Vertex One tenants and other special guests.

Shortly before the program, the guests were led by Convergys Philippines Director for Business Development Jomari Mercado for a short tour of their facilities. Among those present were Manila City Mayor Alfredo Lim, Manila Jockey Club Inc. executives with MCJI Chairman & CEO Atty. Alfonso R. Reyno, Jr. and MCJI Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer Alfonso G. Reyno III, as well as Ayala Land Inc. executives led by ALI Chairman Fernando Zobel de Ayala, ALI President Antonino T. Aquino, Ayala Land Businesscapes Group Head Marivic Añonuevo, and Residential Business Group Head Bobby Dy.

The event began with an invocation performed by Ms. Rhina Palma Cruz from the Centro Escolar University College of Music. This was followed by the national anthem sung by Vocal Octet Manila. The program ensued with the opening remarks delivered ALI President Tony Aquino followed by a message from MJCI Chairman & CEO Atty. Reyno, Jr. The guest of honor, Mayor Lim, also gave a short speech promising the local government's support in the ensuring the success of the development.

After the Mayor's message, Mayor Lim led the MCJI and ALI executives in the ceremonial unveiling of the Vertex One building. This was soon followed by a performance by the harmonious voices of the University of the East and Philippine Normal University chorale groups singing Tagumpay Nating Lahat with an interpretative dance by the Salinggawi Dance Troupe of the University of Sto. Tomas.
