ALI lays groundwork for Baguio TechnoHub

Coinciding with the culminating activities of the 2009 Panagbenga Festival in Baguio, Ayala Land Businesscapes (ABG) set up last February 27-March 1 an Information Center in Camp John Hay.

Through this center, ALI was able to share the plans for its first office development in the country’s summer capital. It details how the project will contribute, not only to Baguio’s overall growth as a city, but to its preservation as well. The development is under a 39-year lease agreement with CJH Development Corporation.

Visitors were given a walk-thru of the different aspects of the project. Visual exhibits explained the vision, development plans, economic and social benefits to the community, as well as, the sustainability initiatives that will be put in place.

In ALI’s conscious efforts to preserve as many of the old pine trees in the project site as possible, the total development will only occupy 2.6 hectares out of the total 12 hectares being developed for the BPO campus leaving plenty of room for outdoor congregation areas and recreational facilities.

The buildings’ distinctive, modern, American- inspired architecture will gently blend in with the look and feel of Camp John Hay and will have a height of four floors, no higher than the tallest existing pine trees in the area. The office component will be supported by a retail village consisting of select retail concepts that will also feature Baguio’s best.

This is proof of ABG’s commitment to provide a full line of office real estate solutions that make a positive difference.

At the Information Center were (L-R): Martin Arranz, Pam Perez, Mel Ignacio, Marivic Añonuevo, Steve Dy, Che Uy, Anna Garcia-Ramos, May Florentino, and Robert Lotho. * The Baguio TechnoHub is a temporary name for the BPO Campus.
