Alveo Land, an Ayala Land company, champions the vision of greener, more sustainable cities. "We sat down to plan how we can build a residential development geared toward modernity and environmentalism," says Jennylle Tupaz, division manager for project development at Alveo Land, "This led us to create our most ambitious project yet -- one that champions the green lifestyle for Filipino families: Treveia."
As Alveo Land's first venture in the sprawling new metropolis Nuvali, Treveia provides modern amenities and fosters family life in an ecologically sound atmosphere, making sure that green living is not necessarily inconvenient. Treveia's masterplan incorporates simple solutions and cutting-edge technologies that promote green living, as inspired by LEED, a US Green Building Council's third party rating system that certifies a building project's green initiatives and performance. "Treveia features energy-efficient and water-conserving facilities. It has integrated double-piping and active storm water management systems that maximize water resources," explains Tupaz.
Treveia also surrounds the entire subdivision with double tree-lined roadways, including bike and pedestrian paths, where residents can enjoy alternative means of transportation. By making walking or riding a bike enjoyable for residents, Treveia reduces their dependence on cars that demand fuel and produce carbon exhaust. These roads also have a semi-porous pavement that allows rainwater to replenish underground reservoirs.
To complement its eco-friendly ideal, Treveia also provides venues for social interaction through its 2.5-hectare Central Park that features the Grand Clubhouse, a 40-meter lap pool, a kiddie pool, a reflection pond, a basketball court, lounge areas, gardens, and a multi-purpose open field. There are also four themed-parks that represent different elements of nature: The Rain Garden Park, The Woodland Park, The Hillock Park, and The Wind Chime Park.
